colorful, compact, and cute, but also simple."

Knight, Mac Musings. "Remember how Steve Jobs announced the Power
Mac G4 on August 31, 1999?"

- The Mac Web and the future of Mac
magazines, Dirk Pilat, Mac UK. There used to be little more
exciting than the latest issue of MacUser. The Web has changed all
that.
- Progress and the right handed
Mac, Frank Wells, My Turn. Who'd have thought that moving the
access door from the left on the Power Mac 8600 to right on the
blue & white G3 would cause such problems?
- Partitioning your hard
drive, Evan Kleiman, Mac Daniel. Why you may want to partition
your hard drive and how to do it.
- Microsoft's 'Tsunami' memo: The
real text, Jeff Adkins, The Lite Side. The Lite Site has

follow in the future.

2005
- Mac mini vs. cheap Dell,
Gateway, HP, and Compaq PCs, Dan Knight, Mac Musings.
Surprisingly, HP and Compaq - not Dell or Gateway - have the most
price-competitive models. How do they compare with the Mac
mini?
- Is the Mac mini worth more than
a low cost DIY Windows PC?, Adam Robert Guha, Apple Archive. If
you're already using a PC, you can probably build a new computer
for a lot less than the Mac mini costs, but that doesn't doom the
mini.
- G5 'Books coming soon?, Mac
mini take apart, mini auto installation, TuneJuice for iPods, and
more, The 'Book Review. Also Apple production
numbers, mini memory specs, first mini case, mini colocation,
bargain 'Books from $280 to $2,399, and more.

- Thinking
different about liberal vs. conservative Mac users, Charles W Moore,
Miscellaneous Ramblings. Yet another study had concluded that Mac users
are more liberal. Where do conservative Mac users fit into the
picture?
- Early obsolescence and the MacBook
Air, free Mac antivirus software, recent AAPL price drop, and more,
Dan Knight, Low End Mac Mailbag. Also MacBook Air vs. Windows
competitors, cost of MBA battery in Europe, can new Mac Pro Run Tiger?,
iCab, and Leopard on a Digital Audio Power Mac.

- Succeeding Steve Jobs
at Apple: The Moneyball approach, Tim Nash, Taking Back the Market.
Steve Jobs saved Apple and has a great team in place. It may never be
necessary for him to come back as CEO.
- iPod touch and
Pismo: Perfect Together, John Hatchett, Recycled Computing. With a
USB 2.0 card and Tiger, a 9-year-old Pismo PowerBook works beautifully
with a new iPod touch.
- Camino pros and cons, notebook
video reliability, overheating since 10.5.4, and more, Charles
Moore, Miscellaneous Ramblings. Also the joy of a 'Big Al' PowerBook,
Unibody MacBook Pro a work of art, recycling an iMac for a cat, 64-bit
PowerPC support, and password needed to install software.
2010
- Apple saves
everyone money, Frank Fox, Stop the Noiz. Before the iPod and the
iTunes Store, CD prices were increasing. Now they're on the decline,
but still not as low as iTunes prices.
- Maximizing the Mac
mini, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. If Apple won't offer a midrange Mac,
someone should offer a replacement chassis for the Mini with two 3.5"
drive bays.
2011
- New Keyboard for Easier iPad Typing,
Hi-Res iPad 2 Rumors, 101 Valentine's Gifts App, and More, iNews
Review. Also 6G iPod nano failure, 3D iPod touch speculation,
WordPerfect viewers, activity monitor, new cases, and more.
- Will Apple merge iPad and MacBook
Air?, when to replace your 'Book's battery, and more, Mac News
Review. Also guessing specs for Sandy Bridge Macs, SSD Optimizer, Power
Manager for Mac OS X, and more.

oversight, faceTop puts Facebook on your Mac's desktop, and more,

brings clap control to your Mac, new image editor in beta, and
more.
- Chinese
greens would rather point the finger at Apple than at their own
countrymen, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. Criticizing Apple is a great
way to draw a lot of attention to your cause, but in this case the
problem stems from Chinese greed and poor Chinese oversight.
