DLO Action Jacket for the SanDisk Sansa

- 2008.11.17

Rating: 4 out of 4

A little while back, I reviewed the Sansa Clip from SanDisk. It's a simple, effective MP3 player that has everything you could want in a tiny package. As with all MP3 players, even if durability isn't an issue, it doesn't hurt to have a good case to protect it.

Today I put the DLO Action Jacket for the Sansa Clip to the test.

DLO Action Jacket for Sansa Clip

The box is extremely lively and colorful. Once you're inside, you'll find the Action Jacket and an armband. You can use the armband to attach the clip to your arm for those times when you want to take a run.

The first thing you'll notice is what how soft, yet durable the case is. The Action Jacket is designed to cover your Clip, including the front and all the controls, while still being able to use them whenever you need to.

You might be thinking, "Just how do I get this case to cover my Clip?"

There's a little slit in the back of the Action Jacket. The first thing you'll want to do is remove the belt clip on the Clip. Next, slide the Clip inside the Action Jacket bottom first. It can be really tight trying to fit it in there, but rest assured, it does fit snugly. Next, slip the top part of the Action Jacket over the top of the Clip, then reattach the belt clip.

On the front you'll see the clear plastic, which enables you to see the screen and still use the controls as needed. I've used the Action Jacket for many months, and it has kept my Clip protected from the elements - and has stayed clean to boot.

I give the DLO Action Jacket four out of four Macs!

While there are not many Clip cases on the market, if you're looking for a case that's cost effective and keeps your Clip looking new, consider the DLO Action Jacket, which has a reasonable $29.99 suggested retail priced.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some major jammin' to do! LEM
