Charge Your iPod with Griffin's $30 PowerBlock

Rating: 3 and a half out of 4

- 2007.08.08

How many times has it happened: You're traveling with your iPod, and it needs to be recharged.

Problem: No Mac or PC to connect it to.

Solution: Enter Griffin's PowerBlock. It's sole purpose in life is to free you from having to connect your iPod to your Mac or PC to charge it. This baby plugs into the wall. It's perfect for traveling - or any time you're away from a computer.

Griffin PowerBlock

The PowerBlock, like all Griffin products, comes in very stylish, yet simple packaging. You'll find simple three-step instructions on the back of the card inside the box. Inside, you'll find not only the PowerBlock, but also a standard Dock connector to USB cable, just in case you lost the one that came with your iPod.

Griffin PowerBlockThe PowerBlock is all white with no status lights, which means you'll have to rely on the status indicator on your iPod to see when it's charging and when it's finished. The PowerBlock has a hidden plug perfect for putting in a bag or in your pocket when you're on the go.

How much for the PowerBlock? $29.99. A good deal in my eyes.

What you have here is a simple, no frills AC adapter that does the job well for the money. I give it 4 out of a possible 4 LEMs. Kudos, Griffin. LEM
