- Forward into the past, Adam
Robert Guha, Apple Archive. To move ahead, perhaps Apple needs to
look into its past.
2003
- Back to the Mac, Eric "Zoltan"
DeStefano, Mac Metamorphosis. BSD problems, a blown hard drive, and
a network meltdown lead to reconsideration of the Macintosh.
2004
2005

Testing your hardware, Michel Munger, iBasics. Using TechTool
Pro and other utilities to verify that your hardware is working
properly.

Wintel duopoly, killing the Mac, and more.
2006
- iMovie a great tool for getting
started with video editing, putting your movies on DVD, Adam
Robert Guha, Apple Archive. If you've got old videos you want to
put on DVD, you can pay someone else to do simple dubs, or you can
invest a little of your own time, add titles, delete unwanted
scenes, and make a much better DVD yourself.
- Edu-iMac no longer sold to
invididuals, gray box problem solved, French interoperability law,
and more, Dan Knight, Low End Mac Mailbag. Also suggested ways
to use iSight in the classroom, problems converting AIFF to MP3 in
iTunes, and thoughts about movie downloads via iTMS.
- Exploding laptops, ExpressCard
34 roll-out, 1.75 GHz G4 upgrade, SeisMac, and more, The 'Book
Review. Also MacBook reviews, problems using disk images to install
Windows on Intel Macs, nylon vs. leather cases, 160 GB hard drive
upgrade, size matters, and bargain 'Books from $280 to $1,299.

schoolers are students too, Kev Kitchens, Kitchens Sync. Apple is
missing out on a great opportunity by not offering education pricing to
high school students.

application commonality, two cents on Linux for Macs, and more, Dan
Knight, Low End Mac Mailbag. Also Apple shouldn't charge $10 for new

G4 deals, email migration from Eudora, and more, Charles W Moore,
Charles Moore's Mailbag. Also YouTube5 extension lets old Macs view
YouTube videos without stuttering, and the possibility of Linux on a
$37 netbook.
- Most Windows users
still satisfied with Windows XP, Dan Knight, Mac Musings. Over
two-thirds of Windows users are still using XP, which is nearly nine
years old, but Mac users prefer a new OS.
2011
- iPad a good
travel companion for business or pleasure, Alan Zisman, Zis Mac.
For travel, the instant-on handheld convenience of a tablet can make a
notebook or netbook unnecessary.
- OS X Lion and
the Post-PC Era: Yay or no way?, Part 2, Dan Bashur, Apple, Tech,
and Gaming. Unifying the Mac and iOS experience while making Lion a
flat-out 64-bit operating system paves the way for Apple's future.
- LapWorks
iPad Space Dock aluminum iPad stand, Charles W Moore, 'Book Value.
For real work, your iPad deserves a stand. The aluminum iPad Space Dock
provides solid support with good looks.
